Transforming Space Through Design & Architecture
This Salon featured two women who work at global design and architecture firm, Gensler. Sumita Arora, serves as the Firmwide Media Practice Area Leader, a Studio Director, and Principal, and Amy Weinstein, serves as a Residential Practice Co-Leader.
Sumita leverages her diversity of experiences from a 20+-year career to deliver next-generation media projects and contextually appropriate design solutions. Her multidisciplinary expertise in campus planning, architecture, and workplace strategy and design allows her to develop integrated and adaptable spaces for today’s converged media environment. Having worked in Washington, D.C., New York, London and New Delhi, India, where she ran her own firm, Sumita understands how geography and culture influence design.
Amy has combined architectural practice with teaching and professional peer review for local and federal agencies. Her built projects have been recognized by over 30 design awards and have been published in national and international architecture journals. With more than 35 years of experience, she brings her knowledge and attention to detail to Gensler’s residential practice.
